Expressive position is very strongly felt in the work of a Spanish documentary photographer Miguel Oriola. The author fully trusts his own feelings and follows his instincts. Alphaville is carried out in a dark atmosphere, from which black-and-white contrasting photographs appears like the tips of the glaciers. We see fragments of an illusory world of Miguel’s mind. When we connect these fractions together, we get a blurry image, but the meaning of it immediately escapes. Symbols and connections of the meaning forms are present in the whole series. Life and death are also displayed in their harshness, so we can feel on our own skin, what it is like to be a resident of Alphaville, the city where you get pain every day.
